Part-Time Enrollment

Minnesota students in grades 9-12, who are enrolled full-time in a public school are eligible to participate in part-time open enrollment with the Minnesota Virtual Academy. Part-time (supplemental) online learning allows students to remain enrolled in their current school district while taking up to 50 percent of their courses online through Minnesota Virtual Academy.

MNVA enrolls part-time students at the beginning of each semester.

The deadlines for part-time student approval for the 2018-19 school year are:

Fall Semester: September 7, 2018
Spring Semester: January 25, 2019

Steps to Enroll:

  1. A student’s parent/guardian must complete the entire online application by creating an account through the K12 Parent Portal.
  2. Submit the required documentation outlined below:
