Four Simple Steps to Enroll

Step 1

Create Parent Account

The K12 Parent Portal provides access to your online application to MNVA, along with real-time alerts and quick links to important info.

Step 2

Submit an Application

Once you’ve begun an application in the K12 Parent Portal, click the option to add a new student or continue with your application. Simply fill in the fields with your child’s information, select MNVA, and hit Submit.

Step 3

Complete the admissions process

MNVA has some specific requirements that are important for you to note before you get started:

The Minnesota Department of Education Open Enrollment and/or Non-Resident Agreement forms will need to be completed as part of the Admissions process to ensure your student is approved for enrollment. Non-Resident Agreement Forms are required by some, but not all, Minnesota school districts. See the complete list of school districts that do not require Non-Residential Agreement forms as a condition of enrollment.

Eligibility Requirements

Eligibility Requirements

Students residing in Minnesota are eligible for enrollment. Please note that your kindergartener must be five years old by September 1 of the upcoming school year in order to enroll.
