Who is eligible to attend Minnesota Virtual Academy?
Any student in grades K–12 who resides in Minnesota is eligible for full-time enrollment.

How many of my children can I enroll in Minnesota Virtual Academy?
Because MNVA provides all the lesson plans and materials needed, many parents find it easy to enroll multiple children in the program.
What does it cost to attend Minnesota Virtual Academy?
Since Minnesota Virtual Academy is a public school program, there is no tuition. MNVA provides a state-certified teacher and instructional materials for the program. However, students and families will be responsible for providing some consumable materials (such as printer ink and paper).
What is the attendance policy?
Minnesota Virtual Academy works with families toward a positive attendance record to meet their required number of instructional days following the Houston Public School District calendar.
What is the cohort schedule?
September 7 start: Last day for full-time K-12 approvals is August 31; Last day for part-time 9-12 approvals is September 10.
October 4 start: Last day for full-time K-12 approvals is September 27. No 9-12 part-time approvals accepted.
November 9 start: Last day for full-time K-12 approvals is November 2. No 9-12 part-time approvals accepted.
January 31 start: Last day for full-time K-12 approvals is January 24; Last day for part-time 9-12 approvals is February 4.
February 28 start: Last day for full-time K-12 approvals is February 22. No 9-12 part-time approvals accepted.
Can I take a vacation during the school year?
The school calendar includes school "holidays" or vacation time. Whenever possible, family vacations should align with school vacation days. Parents are encouraged to contact their teacher if they plan a vacation that does not coordinate with the school calendar.
